In a significant move, Juvraj Singh Bindra has returned to AZB & Partners as a partner in their corporate and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) practice. With over 15 years of expertise in corporate, commercial litigation, arbitration, as well as insolvency and bankruptcy law, Bindra brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Bindra, a law graduate from ILS Law College and a master's degree holder from the University of Karnataka, previously worked at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. His return to AZB & Partners is expected to strengthen the firm's capabilities in corporate law, M&A, and insolvency practice areas.

AZB & Partners' strong market position is evident, having been ranked as Asia-Pacific's top legal adviser by deal volume in H1 2025. The firm has advised on several major banking and cross-border transactions this year, including playing a key role in two major banking deals - representing lead investor Warburg Pincus in IDFC First Bank's Rs 7,500 crore fundraise and ADIA's Platinum Invictus.

Bindra's experience in advising domestic and international clients on insolvency and bankruptcy matters is notably valuable given the firm’s broad advisory services that include restructuring and insolvency. His expertise is expected to deepen AZB & Partners’ bench in complex corporate transactions and insolvency cases, helping sustain and possibly expand their leadership in India’s competitive M&A and insolvency legal landscape.

The firm offers legal advisory services across areas including M&A, litigation, international arbitration, capital markets, private equity, banking and finance, IT and communications, intellectual property, restructuring and insolvency, taxation, compliance, and white-collar crime.

Other law firms in the industry are also making moves. AZB & Partners, JSA, Trilegal, and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas have made several elevations and new hires. AZB & Partners promoted four lawyers to partner earlier this year across its corporate-M&A and tax practices. Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has added new partners to its capital markets, banking and finance practices.

AZB & Partners is headquartered in Mumbai and has offices in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune. Notably, Juvraj Singh Bindra's return marks a significant addition to the firm, further bolstering their capabilities and position in the competitive legal industry.

Juvraj Singh Bindra's return to AZB & Partners as a partner will likely enhance their capabilities in business and finance, particularly in M&A and insolvency practice areas. Given his expertise in advising clients on complex corporate transactions and insolvency cases, Bindra's addition is expected to contribute significantly to AZB & Partners' competitive edge in India's legal market.
