Law firm CMS INDUSLAW welcomes back Amrita Tonk as Partner in their Delhi office.
Amrita Tonk, a seasoned legal professional with a focus on employment law, investigations, and compliance, has joined CMS INDUSLAW as a Partner in their Delhi & NCR office. Tonk rejoined the firm in August 2025, having previously served as a Partner at CMS INDUSLAW specializing in employment, internal investigations, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) practices.
Tonk's extensive legal career spans across various sectors, including the judiciary, corporate world, and leading law firms. She graduated from the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, in 2010 and later earned her LLM from Kurukshetra University.
In her new role, Tonk will counsel clients on sensitive and high-stakes employment matters. Her expertise includes employment advisory, such as counseling on workforce disputes, internal investigations, employee misconduct, regulatory compliance, and workplace policy enforcement. Tonk also advises Indian and multinational corporations on whistle-blower investigations, termination of senior management, and strategic governance issues.
Tonk's judicial experience, combined with her corporate sector expertise, enables her to manage complex legal and operational challenges related to managing diverse workforces. She is known for combining litigation, investigation, and advisory skills with her prior judicial experience to serve clients across industries on high-stakes employment matters.

Tonk was most recently Head of Legal (North) at Godrej Properties Limited. Prior to her corporate and law firm roles, she served as a Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi from 2013 to 2018, presiding over trial courts at Patiala House and Tis Hazari courts.
