Law firm Rajah & Tann announces the addition of two dispute resolution specialists from the Nishimura alliance firm.

Rajah & Tann, a leading law firm in Singapore, has bolstered its Commercial Litigation team with the addition of two new partners, Paras Lalwani and Reka Mohan. Both lawyers join the firm from Bayfront Law, the Singapore alliance firm of Nishimura & Asahi.

Paras Lalwani, a dual-qualified lawyer in Singapore and New York, specializes in commercial disputes, international arbitration, and regulatory investigations. With extensive experience in representing clients before Singapore courts and arbitral tribunals, Lalwani has made a name for himself in both institutional and ad hoc proceedings. He is a qualified arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), and his expertise has earned him recognition as a Future Leader in Arbitration by Lexology Index and for excellence in Litigation and Banking & Finance by Best Lawyers Singapore.

Reka Mohan boasts a broad practice focus, covering banking and finance disputes, corporate and commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, restructuring and insolvency, shareholder disputes, and investor-state arbitrations. She has represented diverse high-profile clients, including listed companies, multinational corporations, regional and international banks, and high-net-worth individuals involved in complex, high-value, multijurisdictional matters. Mohan, like Lalwani, frequently appears before all levels of Singapore courts and arbitral tribunals in both institutional and ad hoc arbitrations. Her bilingual skills in English and Tamil further enhance the firm's multilingual capabilities.

Adrian Wong, head of dispute resolution at Rajah & Tann, expressed his excitement about the new additions, stating that Paras' arrival brings new energy, insight, and proven experience to the firm's dispute resolution bench. Ng Kim Beng, managing partner of Rajah & Tann Singapore, echoed these sentiments, expressing delight at having Paras and Reka join the firm.

The arrival of Lalwani and Mohan comes amidst a series of partner movements at Rajah & Tann this year. Davis Tan has moved to Incisive Law, while Max Lim has joined Penningtons Manches Cooper. Rajah & Tann's expansion of its Commercial Litigation team further solidifies its position as one of the largest dispute resolution teams in Singapore.
