Logistics company BWT Logistics takes over RAZR Logistics, their fellow provider in contract logistics.
BWT Logistics, a leading contract logistics provider backed by private equity firms Argosy Private Equity and Bluejay Capital Partners, has announced the acquisition of RAZR Logistics. The acquisition, which was not accompanied by the disclosure of financial terms, marks a significant expansion for BWT Logistics.
Based in Centennial, Colorado, RAZR Logistics serves over 500 customers in the consumer goods, retail, and manufacturing sectors. The company offers a range of services including on-demand warehousing, freight forwarding, and final-mile services. Prior to the acquisition, RAZR Logistics was a subsidiary of Johnson Storage & Moving.
Josh Putterman, managing partner at Bluejay, stated that this acquisition is a great next step as they continue to add more customers and capabilities at BWT. The acquisition is expected to significantly expand BWT's contract logistics platform.
Mike Griffin, President of RAZR Logistics, will retain a significant ownership stake in the business and serve as senior vice president of sales at BWT. Southfield and Spring Capital Partners also provided financing for the transaction.
In a statement, Putterman added that Bluejay will continue to support the team in its geographic and service line growth through both organic and strategic partnerships. This support is expected to further bolster BWT's offerings, which include warehousing services like crossdocking, transloading, and storage under dedicated and multiple tenant arrangements. The transportation offering includes yard management, drayage, less-than-truckload, and full truckload service.
This is not the first acquisition for BWT Logistics. In 2023, the company acquired regional 3PL International Express Trucking.
