Luxury automaker, Aston Martin, embraces a darker aesthetic with the unveiling of their enhanced Vantage S model, boasting increased power, sophistication, and an alluring gothic flair.
The British luxury automaker Aston Martin has unveiled an exciting new variant of its popular Vantage sports car – the Vantage S. Boasting a host of performance, design, and chassis enhancements, the Vantage S promises to deliver a sharper, more engaging driving experience for discerning enthusiasts.
Performance-wise, the Vantage S is equipped with an upgraded version of the Vantage’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre AMG-sourced V8 engine. The power output has been increased to 670 horsepower, a marginal yet significant improvement over the standard Vantage’s 656 horsepower. Torque remains unchanged at 590 lb-ft.
Acceleration figures also see a slight improvement, with the Vantage S achieving a quoted 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds – a tenth of a second faster than its standard sibling. This is attributed to more power and tweaks to the launch control system.
The Vantage S also benefits from recalibrated drive-by-wire throttle response, tailored to different drive modes, delivering a more bespoke and sharper feel. Both models continue to use an eight-speed automatic transmission, powering the rear wheels only, maintaining a traditional non-electrified, rear-wheel-drive layout.
In terms of chassis and suspension, the Vantage S has undergone numerous updates to improve handling and ride quality. Changes include revised suspension hardware and software to increase front-end responsiveness, a more comfortable ride at low speeds without compromising high-speed cornering agility, adjustments to rear spring stiffness for better compression and rebound, and the rear subframe now being mounted directly to the body. These changes help provide an overall sharper and more engaging driving experience.
Design-wise, the Vantage S features subtle yet functional changes, most noticeably two fresh hood strakes that improve engine ventilation and add visual distinction, as well as an “S” badge on the fenders. The interior is wrapped in black Alcantara and leather for a racer-goth aesthetic.
The Aston Martin Vantage S will make its global dynamic debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The first customer cars are expected to arrive in Q4 2025. Follow the latest updates on the Vantage S on social media at @AstonMartin. For more information, visit AstonMartin.com.
