The Woburn Hotel, a luxury establishment in the village of Woburn, Bedfordshire, is set to reopen on May 17, 2022, after being closed since 2021 due to government restrictions. The hotel, which boasts 48 luxury bedrooms, seven cottages, three conference spaces, a restaurant, and a large bar, is a significant addition to The Oakman Group's portfolio. The Woburn Hotel, located near notable amenities such as Woburn Abbey, Woburn Safari Park, and a golf club, will be the 34th and largest property for The Oakman Group. The group, known for its pubs with restaurants, plans to create 60 new jobs at the hotel upon reopening. The acquisition was praised by the Duke of Bedford, who expressed confidence in The Oakman Group's ability to maintain historic values while delivering a contemporary offering. The group signed a 25-year lease with The Bedford Estates to manage the hotel. Dermot King, CEO of The Oakman Group, views the acquisition as a significant addition, bringing the total number of bedrooms across their venues to 225. Peter Borg-Neal, the group's chairman, is delighted to have been chosen by the Duke of Bedford to manage the hotel. The Woburn Hotel's reopening on May 17, 2022, is eagerly awaited, promising a luxury experience in the heart of Woburn. With The Oakman Group at the helm, the hotel is set to create new jobs and contribute to the village's substantial amenities.
