MarqVision Secures $5M for AI-Driven Piracy Protection Expansion in Asia
MarqVision, a Los Angeles-based AI platform specialising in intellectual property protection, has secured $5 million in a seed round. The funding will support the expansion of its anti-piracy software, launched to safeguard global content in gaming, entertainment, and animation sectors.
The seed round saw participation from notable investors, including SoftBank Ventures, Y Combinator, and Bass Investment. Notably, Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India and Southeast Asia) also joined the round. MarqVision's innovative software uses AI to detect and combat copyright infringement, offering a robust solution for content creators and rights holders.
With the fresh capital, MarqVision plans to bolster its infrastructure and enhance enforcement capabilities in the Asian market. This strategic move aims to strengthen the company's global presence and better protect clients' intellectual property in the region.
