Martin John Workshop Wins Bavarian Environmental Pact for Green Practices
Martin John Mechanical Workshop in the Fürth district has been recognized for its commitment to environmental protection. The company, led by Martin John, has qualified for the Bavarian Environmental Pact in 2022 and 2021.
The workshop, founded in 1970, specializes in CNC milling and turning. It has implemented several eco-friendly measures, including the use of washable cleaning cloths, reusable packaging, LED lighting, and company bicycles. Notably, it uses 100% biomass for heating and generates most of its energy from a photovoltaic system, aiming for climate-neutral production.
The Bavarian Environmental Pact, a cooperation between the state government and businesses, encourages companies to exceed legal environmental requirements. With over 1,600 participants, including 20 in Fürth, it motivates companies like Martin John to take further action. District administrator Bernd Obst praised the company's commitment, highlighting their dedication to climate and environmental protection.
Martin John Mechanical Workshop's dedication to environmental and climate protection has earned them recognition in the Bavarian Environmental Pact. Their use of renewable energy sources and eco-friendly practices sets an example for other businesses. Participation in the pact, free and open to all, encourages more companies to follow suit.
