Mini-Jobbers Get 24 Days Vacation Per Year, Calculated by Weekly Days
Mini-jobbers, who work fewer than six days a week, are entitled to a minimum of 24 working days of vacation per year. This is calculated based on their weekly working days, not hours.
Mini-jobbers can use a calculator on the Mini-Job Centre's website to determine their vacation entitlement. If the calculated days result in an odd number, it rounds up from half a day. Remaining fractions of a day are not rounded and can be offset in hours or settled post-termination.
Those working irregular days per week calculate their vacation days based on their annual working days. The minimum regulation can be exceeded if contractually agreed or if full-time employees have a higher entitlement.
Many mini-jobbers work fewer than six days a week, and their vacation days are calculated accordingly. For those working less than six days, the formula 'times 24, divided by 6', or 'times four', is used to determine their vacation entitlement.
