The automotive market is about to witness an exciting new addition with the launch of the 2025 Kia Carens Clavis. This modern family MPV is available in two variants, catering to both petrol and electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts.

Key Features

The Petrol Kia Carens Clavis (6-seater) boasts a host of features including power steering, ABS, driver and passenger airbags, automatic climate control, alloy wheels (17-inch), multi-function steering wheel, and an engine start stop button. Safety and convenience take centre stage in this variant.

On the other hand, the EV Kia Carens Clavis (7-seater) boasts advanced technology such as Digital Key 2.0, voice recognition command, and a plethora of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like Forward Collision-Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance, Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor, and more. Additionally, it offers luxurious features like a wireless charger, seatback folding table, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control with rear AC vents, and ventilated front seats in top variants. Six airbags are standard in the EV variants.

Performance

The petrol variant is powered by a 1.5-liter Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 157.57 bhp @ 5500 rpm and 253 Nm @ 3500 rpm. It is equipped with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and offers a front-wheel drive.

The electric variant offers two battery options: a 42 kWh (Base) and a 51.4 kWh (Long Range). The Base model delivers 99 kW/225 Nm, while the Long Range model offers 126 kW/255 Nm. The Base model accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds, and the Long Range model in 8.4 seconds. Both variants have a top speed of 166 km/h. The Base model offers a driving range of 404 km, and the Long Range model offers an impressive 490 km, depending on battery pack.

Fuel Efficiency

The petrol variant offers an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 16.66 km/l, with a fuel tank capacity of 45 liters. The EV variant, being electric, has zero tailpipe emissions and offers a substantial electric driving range up to 490 km per charge.

Dimensions

Both variants share common dimensions, with a length of 4550 mm, a width of 1800 mm, and a wheelbase of 2780 mm.
