In 2024, Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH) continued its mission of providing vital aid to crisis regions around the world. The organisation received a total of 72.1 million euros in donations, which were used to fund water, food, medical aid, and emergency shelters in various crisis zones.
Maria Rüther, CEO of ADH, expressed her gratitude for the high level of donor trust, stating that the substantial amount allocated for worldwide emergency aid was a testament to this trust.
One of the key recipients of targeted donations was Ukraine, which received around 14.8 million euros in aid. The situation in Sudan, where a severe humanitarian crisis is ongoing, mobilised around 6.1 million euros in donations. Approximately 2.1 million euros were allocated to Middle East emergency aid.

In her foreword to the 2024 annual report, Maria Rüther warned about the massive cuts to budgets for humanitarian aid, both internationally and nationally. The third pre-Christmas donation campaign with Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) collected a total of 14.4 million euros in donations for global emergency aid. Part of the donation amount from the WDR campaign was given to "Tafel Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V."
ADH is committed to responsible spending of donations and is a certified member of the German Donation Council. In 2024, ADH implemented 863 aid projects, supporting approximately 65 million people.
