Nathalie Schöndorf Takes Charge of Employment Agency in Bergisches Städtedreieck
Nathalie Schöndorf, a legal scholar and seasoned employment administrator, has taken on a new role as the Chairwoman of the Management Board (Vorsitzende der Geschäftsführung) of the Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit) Solingen-Wuppertal, effective August 1, 2025. This agency serves the Bergisches Städtedreieck region, which includes the cities of Solingen, Wuppertal, and Remscheid.
With a career spanning over 16 years in employment administration, Schöndorf brings a wealth of experience to her new position. Her tenure began at the Düsseldorf Employment Agency, where she honed her skills. She later moved to the North Rhine-Westphalia Regional Directorate and the Mettmann Jobcenter, where she held leadership positions. Most recently, she headed the Mettmann Jobcenter ("jobcenter ME-aktiv").
In her new role, Schöndorf's primary focus is to create solutions that enhance professional and economic opportunities for people and businesses in the region. Her aim is to strengthen the regional labor market in the long term. While specific plans for improving the labor market are not yet detailed, her responsibilities typically involve overseeing the local labor market administration, implementing employment policies, supporting job seekers and employers, and coordinating regional workforce development measures.
These measures often include enhancing job placement services, strengthening cooperation with regional businesses and educational institutions, addressing skill shortages, and improving workforce qualifications. They also involve supporting economic development to reduce unemployment.
Nathalie Schöndorf resides in the Mettmann district and is married with a son. Despite her busy schedule, she remains committed to making a positive impact on the local community.
As Schöndorf takes on this new challenge, the people of the Bergisches Städtedreieck region can look forward to a renewed focus on employment opportunities and economic growth.
