Neckarsulm experiences road closures due to Ganzhornfest in September
The Neckarsulm Ganzhorn Festival, scheduled for September 6-8, 2025, will bring a series of changes to the city's transportation and traffic flow. Here's what you need to know to navigate the city during the event.
During the festival, the "Friedrichstraße" stop will not serve the city center direction. As an alternative, passengers can use the City-Hopper (line 90), which will operate every 15 minutes from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM weekdays and 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays. The City-Hopper will run between ZOB/Ballei, Marktplatz, and the Einkaufszentrum on Hohenloher Straße.
The City-Hopper will also serve as a replacement for lines 91/692, 92, and 93, with "Bahnhof Ost/Vorplatz" as the new stop. Similarly, lines 624 and N20 will be diverted to Bahnhof West during the festival.
It's important to note that "Marktstraße" and "Museum" stops will not be served for bus traffic during the event. Passengers are advised to use the "ZOB/Ballei" stop as a replacement for all lines.
Road closures will start on September 3, 2025, at 6:00 AM and end on September 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Urbanstraße, Schlossgasse, Loewengasse, Quergasse, Parking lots "Museumsplatz" and Urbanstraße, and Grabenstraße will be closed to traffic. However, Grabenstraße will remain accessible as a one-way street from Urbanstraße during the road closures.
For those travelling towards Bad Friedrichshall, a detour will be via Salinenstraße, Friedrichstraße, Saarstraße, Gymnasiumstraße, and Spitalstraße. On the other hand, a detour towards Heilbronn will be via Kolpingstraße, Weinstraße, Saarstraße, and Binswanger Straße.
Affected residents can take their biowaste bins to the collection points Loewengasse/Marktstraße, Marktstraße/Engelgasse, Engelgasse/Urbanstraße, and Urbanstraße/Neckarstraße before 6:00 AM on September 5, due to the festival setup.
The festival will take place at the Deutschordensschloss in Neckarsulm. For the most accurate and current information on road closures and traffic restrictions in Neckarsulm during the festival, we recommend checking the official Neckarsulm city website, local traffic authorities, or the festival's official communications closer to the event date.
During the festival, the City-Hopper will run directly through the pedestrian zone with a stop at Marktstraße. The road closures will occur before, during, and after the festival. We encourage you to plan your journey accordingly and check for updates closer to the event date.
