Nestlé Sells Nordic Premium Culinary Business to Solina

Swiss multinational Nestlé has sold its Nordic Professional Premium Culinary business to Solina, a leading European food industry player. The deal includes the OSCAR and PULJONKI brands, along with two factories in Denmark and Finland. Solina, backed by the Jung Group, aims to strengthen its presence in the food service sector and introduce its solutions to new markets.

Nestlé, which has been involved in the Nordics' premium culinary business since 2011, believes that Solina will provide the right environment for the business's continued success. The sale, expected to close by the end of March following employee information processes, only affects Nestlé's Professional Premium Culinary Business in the Nordics. Nestlé will continue to focus on its remaining out-of-home portfolio and offer products to Nordic families.

Anthony Francheterre, CEO of Solina, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. Solina, which owns the Nordic professional premium culinary seasoning business with the OSCAR and PULJONKI brands, will now operate two factories in Rønnede, Denmark and Juuka, Finland. The Jung Group, a leading family business with a 200-year tradition in fresh vegetable and salad products in Germany, is associated with Solina in this acquisition. Nestlé Professional Zone Europe will continue to oversee Premium Culinary outside of the Nordics.

The acquisition of Nestlé's Nordic Professional Premium Culinary business by Solina is set to close by the end of March. This deal strengthens Solina's presence in the food service sector and introduces its solutions to new markets. Nestlé, meanwhile, will focus on its remaining out-of-home portfolio and continue serving Nordic families.
