Mazda's popular CX-5 SUV is set to return in 2026 with a third generation model, offering more space, advanced technology, and improved performance. The new CX-5 will launch in Germany early next year, with prices starting at 34,990 euros for the base model and 40,790 euros for all-wheel-drive variants.
The new CX-5 has grown in size, now measuring 4.69 meters in length and boasting a wheelbase extended by 115 millimeters. This increase in dimensions translates to more space for passengers and a larger trunk, with a capacity of 583 liters expandable to 2,019 liters.
The interior has been updated with a new center console featuring a touchscreen ranging from 12.9 to 15.6 inches. The driver's seat has been raised for better visibility, and the exterior design has been adapted to the new proportions, showcasing a higher front and new lighting elements.
Under the hood, the new CX-5 will initially be powered by a 2.5-liter e-Skyactiv G 141 gasoline engine combined with a 24-volt hybrid system. The SUV also introduces a 'by-wire' brake system that recovers energy during braking.
The new Mazda CX-5, set to arrive in early 2026, offers improved space, technology, and performance. With a starting price of 34,990 euros, it promises to be a competitive option in the SUV news. The new model's larger dimensions, advanced features, and efficient powertrain are expected to attract a wide range of customers.
