99 Ranch Market Expands Presence with Temu Partnership

Asian supermarket chain 99 Ranch Market, based in Buena Park, Calif., has partnered with online marketplace Temu, allowing the supermarket to sell its goods across the United States. This partnership has been a significant success for both parties, with 99 Ranch Market being one of the first pantry staple sellers on Temu.

Since scaling operations in February 2024, 99 Ranch Market has seen an average biweekly sales growth of 20% on Temu[1]. This rapid increase in sales indicates the strong performance of the partnership, enabling 99 Ranch Market to reach customers beyond their physical store locations.

The supermarket chain, known as a "Pan-Asian Destination" that offers a wide variety of Asian products, recently opened its newest location in Aliso Viejo, Calif., in April of this year. Another exciting development is the upcoming opening of 99 Ranch Market's first outpost in New York City, located at 37-11 Main Street in Flushing, Queens. However, an opening date for this new outpost has not yet been scheduled.

The new Asian supermarket in New York City will also feature the company's popular food hall, Eat Up. Alongside fresh produce, premium meats, live seafood, everyday Asian staples and snacks, authentic Asian cuisines, and Asian-inspired bakery items, customers can expect a diverse and delicious dining experience.

With over 60 locations across the country, 99 Ranch Market is no stranger to success. The supermarket chain is ranked No. 88 on The PG 100, Progressive Grocer's 2025 list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America.

James Ho, senior director of e-commerce at 99 Ranch Market, explained that the partnership opened up markets previously unreachable with stores alone. As a result, 99 Ranch Market is now able to serve a wider customer base and continue its growth trajectory.

The three closest stores to New York City are in Jersey City and Hackensack, N.J., and in Westbury, Long Island. With the upcoming opening in New York City, 99 Ranch Market is poised to further expand its reach and continue its success on Temu.
