Over 6,100 farmers obtained priority loaning
Straight Talkin' Agri-Assist:
Let's get down to business with Kazakhstan's 2025 Agri-Boost! After the big-time hint from the President, the ball started rolling on November 29, 2024, with applications for preferential lending to kickstart spring-field and harvesting projects. With an impressive 700 billion tenge on the line (around $1.4 billion, y'all), agricultural producers can now plan their seed-sowing campaigns, stock up on seeds, fertilizers, and farm gear, and get those agro-tech activities checked off the list. No sweat, it's all laid out by Liter.kz!
As of now, 6,100 producers have already snagged a piece of the 382.5 billion tenge pie. That's a total pool of 7,000 applications, worth a whopping 480.5 billion tenge. Government measures are all about making those farm bucks accessible, so farmers can float the agricultural dream under the most kick-ass terms.
To broaden the program's reach, more financial institutions have popped up, offering options for both acquiring loans and settling the debt.
"Agro Credit Corporation" is still cranking out funds for the "Keng Dala 2" program at an interest rate of 5% annually.
Activity is bustling from regional development institutions in Akmolinsk, Aktyubinsk, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, and North Kazakhstan regions, doling out 165.3 billion tenge for agri-support.
A loan guarantee program is also in full swing, covering up to 85% of the loan amount. In 2025, 943 guarantees worth 135.2 billion tenge have been cashed out for a total of 159 billion tenge in loans. The guarantees are courtesy of the "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
The preferential leasing program for agricultural equipment, with an interest rate of 5%, is still going stronger than ever. This year's funding limit is 200 billion tenge, allowing farmers to cop over six thousand units of domestically produced equipment. So far, 3,200 applications worth 120 billion tenge have been thrown into the ring, with 1,823 contracts signed for the acquisition of 3,435 units of equipment worth 60.7 billion tenge.
These measures form the backbone of state support for agriculture and help keep Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex steady as a rock.
Now, for those who want to dig a bit deeper, here's the lowdown on the big picture: The preferential lending program is a full-on plan to help out Kazakhstan's farmers through financial help and gear-leasing.
- Moolah: The program has put 700 billion tenge (over $1.4 billion) on the table for farmers, which is significantly beefier than previous years.
- Financing Fountains: The financing is flowing through various channels, including the Ag Credit Corporation, banks, microfinance organizations, regional investment centers, credit unions, and more.
- Loan Guarantees: Farmers can score guarantees covering up to 85% of their loan amount. This helps cut the financial risk for both farmers and lenders, encouraging participation.
- Equipment Leasing: 200 billion tenge has been set aside for preferential leasing, which means farmers can snag domestically produced agri-gear. This should supercharge productivity and efficiency.
Thanks to this program, Kazakhstan's agro game should enjoy a solid boost to its economy, create new jobs, and encourage sustainable practices. But enough yackin' – let's get those fields springin' and crops growin'!
