Partnership Strengthens Web3 in South Korea Through Alliance Between OverProtocol and Pocket Network

In a significant move to strengthen South Korea's Web3 landscape, OverProtocol, a Layer-1 blockchain platform based in the country, has formed a strategic partnership with Pocket Network, a decentralized infrastructure platform.

The collaboration aims to create a more robust, efficient, and compliance-friendly Web3 environment in South Korea. OverProtocol's lightweight node infrastructure will be leveraged to offer reliable and scalable RPC endpoints to Pocket Network, enhancing network resilience, uptime, and scalability for Korean developers and users.

One of the key innovations of this partnership is the development of a regulatory-aligned KRW stablecoin framework. This framework, designed to meet South Korea’s compliance standards, will facilitate secure and compliant stablecoin use within the local Web3 ecosystem.

The partnership also includes the integration of token-swap-subsidized gateway services, which lower operational costs for users and developers, making Web3 participation more accessible and affordable in South Korea. Furthermore, Korean Web3 startups will benefit from AWS-style cloud credits, promoting innovation and easing the resource burden on early-stage projects by subsidizing node operation and decentralized infrastructure access.

The expansion of decentralized RPC infrastructure with OverProtocol’s globally distributed lightweight nodes (3,400+ nodes) merged with Pocket’s network will also enhance the reach and reliability of Web3 platforms globally.

Moreover, the partnership sets new benchmarks for decentralized infrastructure, starting with a robust foothold in the South Korean blockchain landscape. The Pocket Network Foundation is expected to back the initiative by subsidizing gateway throughput.

OverProtocol's vision is to integrate everyday users into the blockchain ecosystem through its OverFlex marketplace, which offers real-world voucher utilities that appeal to both crypto-savvy users and the broader public. The partnership aims to make Web3 architecture more efficient, cost-effective, and accessible, particularly for the growing blockchain community in Korea.

In a notable development, SuperBlock, the primary contributor to OverProtocol’s development, will become the first official Pocket Network gateway in South Korea. Pocket Network's decentralized Remote Procedure Call (RPC) layer will be integrated into OverProtocol’s ecosystem, reinforcing the accessibility and stability of the decentralized RPC infrastructure for OverProtocol.

Together, this partnership promises to bridge traditional finance and blockchain technology in a regulatory-conscious manner, supporting a sustainable and scalable Web3 ecosystem locally.
