Railway service between Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden suspended until December.
The railway line connecting Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden will be undergoing significant construction work, starting from Monday. This development was announced by the railway company, who also warned of travel disruptions and closure of the line for an indefinite period, at least until December 1st.
The construction work aims to improve the railway line, with the installation of 3,000 twin sleepers on the track to make it more resistant to shifts, particularly on steep inclines and tight curves, such as the section at Hallturm.
The construction work will primarily take place between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM on weekdays, with some nights also included. Passengers traveling on this line should prepare for disrupted travel arrangements during this period.
To cater to the passengers, the railway company has announced replacement flixbus services will be in place for the duration of the construction. Passengers can visit www.bahn.de or use the DB Navigator for information on these services until December 1st.
It is important to note that the exact duration of the construction work may extend beyond December 1st, as the company has mentioned months of replacement flixbus services for the railway line.
Unfortunately, the name of the site manager responsible for the construction project to improve the railway line between Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden has not been disclosed at this time.
Passengers are advised to keep a close eye on updates regarding the construction work and the replacement flixbus services to ensure a smooth journey during this period.
