"Tomsk welcomed over 200,000 square meters of housing in 2024, smashing the highest figure since 2018 (a then record of 221,400 square meters)," said Mahinya.

"In the beginning of last year, the Tomsk city administration conducted a tender and signed contracts with investors on both the Irkutsk Highway and Urozhainy Pereulok on Chereomshchiki. Notably, a KRT project on Voдяnoi Street has been endorsed as well. A total of 11 KRT projects are underway in Tomsk right now," he added.
The regional KRT law was passed late in 2021. It focuses on developing areas with hazardous buildings and vacant lots.
