Rheinisch-Bergische District Showcases Economic Hub at Expo Real 2025
From October 6 to 8, 2025, the Rheinisch-Bergische Economic Development Corporation (RBW) will represent the economic hub of the Rheinisch-Bergischer district at Expo Real in Munich. Landrat Stephan Santelmann and RBW managing director Volker Suermann, along with a delegation from Bergisch Gladbach, will present the economic hub and selected projects to the real estate industry at the fair.
The RBW will showcase the location and its development projects, including the Zanders area and the Rhombus site. The Zanders area project, spanning 36 hectares, is one of the largest transformation projects in the region. It aims to create a mixed-use quarter, integrating the former Zanders paper factory site into the surrounding urban fabric. The project seeks to become a future-oriented residential, business, and educational hub for various population groups and companies. It is based on flexible urban planning, with a development company driving the marketing and utilization process in the coming years. The city of Bergisch Gladbach will use the fair to discuss this project. Additionally, the Rhombus site in Wermelskirchen, offering innovative offerings for commerce, education, and public uses, will also be presented.
