Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis Showcases Business Hub & Projects at Expo Real 2025
The Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis is set to showcase its business location and development projects at the 27th International Trade Fair for Commercial Real Estate and Investment – Expo Real in Munich. RBW managing director Volker Suermann will lead the presentation, joined by Landrat Stephan Santelmann and a delegation from Bergisch Gladbach. The event, held from October 6 to 8, 2025, will highlight the region's economic hub and its transformation projects.
Among the projects to be featured are the Zanders area and the Rhombus site, both qualified within the framework of REGIONALE 2025. The Zanders area project aims to create a mixed-use quarter for residential, working, and educational purposes on the site of the former Zanders paper factory. The Rhombus site in Wermelskirchen will present a new quarter with innovative offerings for commerce, education, and public uses.
The city of Bergisch Gladbach will use the fair to discuss the Zanders area project in detail. RBW will participate in the regional stand of Cologne/Bonn together with the city of Bergisch Gladbach. Partners at the regional joint stand include VR Bank eG Bergisch Gladbach-Leverkusen, Kreissparkasse Cologne, Hahn Group, and Rösrath OSMAB Holding AG, although the specific leadership person from the latter company was not named.
The Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis looks to Expo Real as an opportunity to present its economic hub and development projects to the real estate industry. The Zanders area and Rhombus site projects are expected to attract significant interest, given their potential for transformation and innovation.
