Road Construction Update in Maschen: Introduction of a New Route to the A39 Highway
The district of Harburg is currently expanding County Road 10 (Winsener Straße) in Maschen with a new right-turn lane to the A39, a project being carried out by Johann Bunte SE & Co. KG from Winsen on behalf of the district administration.

The road construction works are causing notable traffic disruptions. During the construction period, traffic is being rerouted to alternate routes to minimise delays. Drivers should expect slower travel times and possible congestion in the surrounding areas.
Rerouting
Motorists traveling from Maschen to Stelle and regional traffic will be rerouted in both directions via the Homsstraße, Maschener Schützenstraße, and Seevestraße to Glüsingen, then on the Glüsinger Straße (K34) to Fleestedt, Winsener Landstraße (K79) via Karoxbostel and Maschen-Heide to Unner de Bult (K79), and back to the Winsener Straße (K10) in Maschen.
Timeline
The construction works are expected to last from Monday, 5th of August, to Friday, 11th of October. The Winsener Straße will be fully closed during the second phase of construction. Approximately 800 meters of road surface on the Winsener Straße will be renewed.
Detours and Access
During the full closure of the Winsener Straße, the Aral gas station on the Winsener Straße will remain accessible via the Homsstraße. All locals are urged to bypass the construction site as far as possible. Cyclists and pedestrians can pass the construction site via the unaffected shared cycle and footpath.

A new drainage channel will be installed during the construction works. The total cost of the construction works is approximately 550,000 euros. The Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government will expand the motorway entrance to three lanes in the crossing area next year to improve traffic conditions at the motorway junction.
