The Russian government has announced significant changes to family support policies. Key updates include an increase in maternity capital and new allowances, aiming to ease the financial burden on families.

From 2026, families welcoming their first child without maternity capital will receive a one-time payment of 737,200 rubles. Additionally, a new family allowance of 119 billion rubles has been allocated for the same year.

For families with unused maternity capital for their first child, the payment for the second child will increase to 974,100 rubles. The one-time payment upon childbirth will also rise to 28,773 rubles. Starting in 2026, the maternity capital in Russia will see a 6.8% increase.
