According to Belstat, the nominal monthly wage for workers (before tax and deductions) in March amounted to 2,601.8 rubles, a jump from 2,428.1 rubles in February. Not too shabby!
The significant increase was most notable in the capital and Minsk region, with growth observed in all other regions too. Check out the region-wise growth:
- Minsk: 3,544.7 rubles (+235.6 rubles)
- Minsk region: 2,635.3 rubles (+192.6 rubles)
- Gomel region: 2,302.3 rubles (+132.6 rubles)
- Grodno region: 2,275.5 rubles (+156.8 rubles)
- Brest region: 2,259.7 rubles (+156.7 rubles)
- Mogilev region: 2,156 rubles (+141.3 rubles)
- Vitebsk region: 2,143.1 rubles (+132.1 rubles)
In the wage race, the five most rewarding sectors for workers in March were:
- Information and communication: 6,417.6 rubles (+435.2 rubles)
- Financial and insurance activities: 4,052.8 rubles (-168.8 rubles)
- Professional, scientific, and technical activities: 3,175.6 rubles (+246.8 rubles)
- Construction: 3,054.5 rubles (+341.8 rubles)
- Industry: 2,759.1 rubles (+196.2 rubles)
Traditionally, the weakest performers in the wage department were education (1,809.5 rubles), arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation (1,893.6 rubles), and administrative and support service activities (1,975 rubles).
