State Road L139 to Close for October Weekends for Bike Path Construction
The state road L139 will be closed on several weekends in October for construction work. The closure will affect the intersection with the K6333 and the section between Adelhausen and Maulburg. The cities of Rheinfelden and Maulburg, along with the district of Lörrach, ask for the public's understanding regarding the closures.
The closure will occur on the weekends of October 10-13, 17-20, and potentially 24-27, from Friday at 2 PM to Monday at 6 AM. Traffic will be rerouted via the B316 to Lörrach and then via the B317 to Maulburg during the closures. The construction of the new bike path between Adelhausen and Maulburg is entering its final phase, with the highly anticipated connection expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The city of Rheinfelden is responsible for the construction work, which is progressing well. However, the Adelhausen district will remain closed due to additional sewer construction.
Bus lines 7302 and 7307 will be rerouted on the affected weekends, with stops in Minseln, Adelhausen, and Maulburg temporarily suspended. Visitors to the cemetery in Maulburg can only reach it on foot during construction hours; access by car is possible via Lettenweg and Am Rebrain.
The closure of the state road L139 is necessary for the completion of the new bike path between Adelhausen and Maulburg. If the weather cooperates, the bike path can be completed this year. The public's understanding and cooperation during this time are greatly appreciated.
