State Secretary Gisela Splett Appoints New Heads for Assets and Construction Ulm
State Secretary of Finance Gisela Splett recently inaugurated two key appointments in Ulm: Dr. Diana Marquardt and Simon Schneider. Both have taken on significant roles within the Assets and Construction Ulm department.
Dr. Diana Marquardt, who has been leading Assets and Construction Ulm since May 2023, is now its official head. She previously studied law in Tübingen and received her doctorate there in 2011. Assets and Construction Ulm manages around 70 institutions, including universities and authorities, and is responsible for historically valuable cultural properties like the former monastery complexes Wiblingen and Bad Schussenried. The department employs 106 people and achieved a turnover of over 110 million euros in 2024.
Simon Schneider, the new head of the State Building Authority Ulm, also started his role in May 2023. Before this, he led the federal construction branch office in Ulm, where he was responsible for the construction engineering department and the risk management staff unit. Schneider studied architecture in Karlsruhe, Berlin, and London.
Dr. Diana Marquardt and Simon Schneider have taken on their new roles, leading Assets and Construction Ulm and the State Building Authority Ulm, respectively. Both bring extensive experience and expertise to their positions, promising a strong future for the departments they now lead.
