Lörrach's Weinbrennerstraße Closure Begins August 18

The final phase of the district heating network construction in Lörrach's Weinbrennerstraße is about to commence, with the closure set to start on August 18 and last for approximately five weeks. During this period, there will be adjustments to traffic and public transportation to accommodate the work.

Traffic will be rerouted via Clara-Immerwahr-Straße, Wiesentalstraße, and Teichstraße during the closure. Passengers are advised to use the "Krankenhaus" or "Schillerstraße" stops instead during the closure. Access to parking lots at Burghof and the labor court will be possible from the north during the closure.

The closure of Weinbrennerstraße near the police station and labor court will mark it as a dead end from both sides. Cyclists can bypass the closure via the pedestrian zone on Basler Straße and Herrenstraße.

The "Weinbrennerstraße" and "Museum" stops in the southbound direction, as well as the "Baumgartnerstraße" and "Niederfeldplatz" stops on line 7 in the Salzert direction, will remain suspended for bus passengers. Bus traffic will be affected during the closure in Weinbrennerstraße.

The construction is expected to be completed by September 21. It is advisable to plan alternative routes or allow extra travel time while the construction is ongoing. Residents and commuters should expect changes such as road closures, detours, or modified bus routes in the area.

We encourage everyone to stay informed and adjust their travel plans accordingly. For the latest updates, please visit the city's official website or contact your local transportation provider. Stay safe and thank you for your understanding during this construction period.
