The commencing dismantle process of the €2 million Asti shipyard, a project that has been pending for two years, is now underway.

In the heart of Asti, Italy, the renovation of the historic Town Hall is progressing steadily. Overseen by Stefania Morra, Deputy Mayor with a mandate for public works, the work is expected to be completed by the end of July.

The focus of the renovation is primarily on the removal of scaffolding and the restoration of the Town Hall's facade in Piazza San Secondo. The demolition of scaffolding, which began on Wednesday, July 6, is already underway, with the removal from Via al Teatro Alfieri having been completed.

The renovation also includes an energy-efficient upgrade of the Town Hall, costing 2 million euros. This project is being funded partly with Por-Fesr funds and partly by the municipality.

Once the exterior work is finished, the interior renovations will continue. One of the notable additions will be the "Welcome to Asti, gateway to Monferrato" office, managed by the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Board.

While the exact date for the presentation of this year's Palio jockeys from the Town Hall's balcony has not been confirmed, historically, it takes place on the Saturday before the race, which is held on the third Sunday of September. For 2025, since September 21 is the third Sunday, the jockey presentation would likely occur on Saturday, September 20, 2025. To confirm the exact date and time, checking the official Asti Palio website or contacting local authorities directly would be necessary.

As the renovation work continues, Asti's Town Hall is steadily moving towards its restored glory, promising to be a beacon of the city's rich history and vibrant culture.

The renovation project, including an energy-efficient upgrade, is estimated to cost 2 million euros, with funding partly from Por-Fesr funds and partly by the municipality. This financial investment demonstrates the significance the industry of finance attaches to preserving the average historical value of Asti's Town Hall.

Upon completion of the exterior work, the interior renovations will proceed, featuring the addition of the "Welcome to Asti, gateway to Monferrato" office. As the renovation progresses, the average tourist visiting Asti will have the opportunity to witness the blending of its historic charm and modern, energy-efficient enhancements, symbolizing the harmony between the past and the present within the industry.
