Thoughtful Media Group (TMG) has entered the Philippine market, bringing its digital advertising services to the region. The company, a subsidiary of Society Pass, aims to cater to local advertisers, merchants, and influencers with its comprehensive suite of offerings.
TMG's expansion into the Philippines comes as the country's internet penetration rate continues to grow. In early 2023, it stood at 73.1%, with an increase of 10 million internet users from the previous year. Filipinos' strong engagement with social media, averaging 3 hours and 43 minutes per day, presents a significant opportunity for TMG.
The company has an extensive network of over 10,000 creators and offers services like influencer marketing, brand campaigns, and sports marketing. TMG plans to introduce premium branded campaigns, multi-channel networks, sports marketing, and e-sports verticals to the Philippine stock market today. Billy Soo, TMG Philippines' country head, is tasked with driving sales and client onboarding in the country.
TMG's workforce has grown significantly in recent times, expanding fivefold from 15 to over 75 staff in the past year. The company was acquired by Society Pass in July 2022 and has since then expanded its reach to the Philippines in Q3 2023. The Southeast Asian influencer marketing industry is projected to reach USD 2.59 billion in 2024, indicating a promising future for TMG's operations in the region.
