Total Shut-down of Frauensteiner Street
In the heart of Wiesbaden, construction works are currently taking place near the local golf course. The focus of these activities is the repair of a water pipeline from the elevated tank on Weißen Weg, which is part of the city's regular construction schedule.
This essential upgrade is being carried out by SCHEFFER Bau GmbH, a certified company with over 40 years of experience in pipeline, civil, and building construction. With a team of more than 20 qualified staff for welding and installation of water pipelines and related infrastructure, they are well-equipped to handle this project.
The pipeline repair works are causing a closure that affects cyclists, but pedestrians can continue to use their usual paths without any disruptions. A detour around the closure via Schelmengraben is being set up to ensure smooth access for those travelling by foot.
If you have any questions regarding the construction works, you can contact the responsible department or office at [email protected]. For updates on bus routes, please visit eswe-verkehr.de as they may be affected by the construction.
It's important to note that these construction works are investments for the future. They aim to prevent major damage and stronger traffic disruptions, ensuring the city remains a vibrant and functional hub for its residents and visitors.
The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden has published this press release from Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden. For a map of selected construction measures, including the pipeline repair works near the golf course, please visit ourwebsite.de/baustellen.
The city of Wiesbaden, with its approximately 5,000 construction sites each year, including street, pipeline, and canal renewals, is committed to keeping its infrastructure in top condition. We ask for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions caused by the pipeline repair works, and we appreciate your patience during this important phase of the city's development.
Access to the golf course is only possible from Schelmengraben or Frauensteiner Straße during the construction period. As always, the city of Wiesbaden strives to balance the needs of its residents with the demands of progress, and we look forward to completing this project and returning our city to its usual vibrant state.
