Toyota Announces Price Increase and Upgrades for Select Models, Focuses on Safety and Quality

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced a price increase of ₹13,000 across all variants of the Toyota Rumion, reflecting the company's consistent market acceptance and customer-centric approach.

In other news, TKM's year-to-date sales for the first seven months of 2025 reached 2,07,460 units, marking a 14% increase from 1,81,906 units in the same period of 2024. The company sold 32,575 units in July 2025, a 3% increase compared to the previous month.

Toyota has also made significant upgrades to some of its popular models. The Toyota Glanza, for instance, has been enhanced with six airbags as standard across all variants, aiming to appeal to safety-conscious buyers in the premium hatchback segment.

The company's focus on safety is further evident in the Toyota Innova Hycross, which secured a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP for both adult and child occupant protection.

Looking ahead, Toyota is set to launch several new cars in India with enhanced safety features. The 3-row SUV based on the Hyryder platform is expected to feature advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), multiple drive modes, and 360-degree camera technology, starting at around ₹11.14 lakh. The Fortuner 2025 edition is anticipated to come with smart sensor wipers, square LED headlamps, 360-degree cameras, and other advanced safety features, with prices starting from approximately ₹1 crore.

Another anticipated release is the Toyota Urban Cruiser 1.5L GLX, a budget SUV expected to launch under ₹12 lakh, offering refined safety and convenience features for urban families.

Meanwhile, Renault is expected to launch a new car named Bigster, with expected prices ranging from ₹13 - 18 Lakhs.

In addition, Toyota's Limited Edition Prestige Packages for the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder received a favourable market response. The company remains committed to serving the market with high-quality products and enhanced value-added services.
