Traffic Alert: Restrictions on Highway A3 at Solingen
Renovation Work on Solingen Interchange and A3 Section Affects Traffic
Starting from this weekend, there will be significant changes to traffic on the A3 heading towards Frankfurt due to renovation work on the Solingen interchange and the surrounding area. The operating company responsible for this project is DEGES (Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH).
From Saturday, 20th April, and Sunday, 21st April, traffic from the A3 heading towards Frankfurt will be routed via the B229/L402 (Hardt) and the L403 (Bergische Landstraße) after the A542 interchange at Langenfeld-Immigrath. During this time, only one of the three lanes will be available on the A3 heading towards Frankfurt in the area of the Solingen interchange.
From Monday, 22nd April, motorists will not be able to exit at the Solingen interchange on the A3 heading towards Frankfurt. The detour for motorists on the A3 heading towards Frankfurt from the Solingen interchange will be via the Langenfeld (A3/A542) junction to the A542 interchange at Langenfeld-Immigrath.
From Friday, 10th May, to Friday, 14th June, motorists will not be able to access the A3 heading towards Frankfurt from the Solingen interchange. Similarly, the A3 at the Langenfeld junction coming from Oberhausen will remain inaccessible for motorists heading towards Monheim during the same period. The detour for motorists heading towards Monheim from the A3 at the Langenfeld junction coming from Oberhausen will be via the A3/A542 junction at Langenfeld and the A542 interchange at Langenfeld-Immigrath.
From Friday, 10th May, to Friday, 14th June, the Solingen interchange will remain inaccessible for motorists heading towards Frankfurt. The A542 towards Monheim will also remain inaccessible from the A3 at the Langenfeld junction coming from Oberhausen during the same period.
The renovation work on the Solingen interchange and the A3 in the area of the interchange will continue from Monday, 22nd April. The renovation is being carried out by Autobahn GmbH Rheinland.
