Transportation: New detour plan resulting from water pipe rupture in the public transit system

Effective from August 18, during business hours and owing to a water pipe burst in Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, there will be modifications in the detour regulations for all bus lines, excluding line 22, which will continue to follow their standard routes towards the city center.

In the city of Wiesbaden, Germany, several bus lines have been temporarily rerouted due to ongoing construction and a water main break affecting Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and other areas. The changes, which take effect from August 18, 2025, affect bus lines 16, 22, 28, 37, 45, 46, N7, X26, 262, school buses, lines 3, 6, 33, 34, 49, and school buses.

For detailed route modifications:

  • Lines 3, 6, 16, 22, 28, 33, 34, 37, 45, 46, 49, N7, and school buses have new detours implemented that avoid the affected sections.
  • Line 22, heading towards the city center, takes a detour via Mainzer Straße, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, and Bahnhofstraße. It continues from Gustav-Stresemann-Ring bypassing Wittelsbacherstraße directly to the final stop Berufsschulzentrum (BSZ).
  • Line 22, with the destination Berufsschulzentrum (BSZ), also follows a route from Hauptbahnhof A to Berliner Straße, with a bypass via Wettinerstraße to the Berufsschulzentrum (BSZ).
  • Lines 27, 269, 274, 275, X79, and 273 (only to BSZ) follow a route from Hauptbahnhof A to Berufsschulzentrum, via Salzbachstraße/Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße.
  • Lines 3, 33 (via Brunhildenstraße), 34, 49, and school buses follow a route from Hauptbahnhof A to Freizeitbad, via Salzbachstraße/Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße, and ending at the regular route.
  • The "Gartenfeldstraße" stop is served by lines 27, 269, 274, 275, X79, and 273 (only to BSZ).
  • Buses on line 22, from the Wittelsbacherstraße stop, take a detour via Mainzer Straße, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, and Bahnhofstraße to the Hauptbahnhof B or Hauptbahnhof A stops.
  • Line 27, 269, 274, 275, X79, and 273 (only to BSZ) follow a route from Hauptbahnhof A to Berufsschulzentrum, via Salzbachstraße/Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße.
  • Lines 3, 27, 33, and school buses, when heading towards out of town, follow the regular route to the "Hauptbahnhof A" stop, then continue via Salzbachstraße/Gartenfeldstraße, bypassing Mainzer Straße, and follow the regular route from the "Welfenstraße" stop. The "Gartenfeldstraße" stop is served.
