Union Government Disburses ₹8,668 Crore to Northeastern States, ₹1,01,603 Crore to All States

The Union government has disbursed a substantial amount of funds to states across the country. The Northeastern region received ₹8,668 crore as an advance instalment, with Arunachal Pradesh securing the largest share at ₹1,785 crore. Meanwhile, Assam, under its late chief minister, received the largest allocation among all states, amounting to ₹3,178 crore.

The recent fund disbursement saw Mizoram receive ₹508 crore, Nagaland ₹578 crore, Manipur ₹727 crore, and Tripura ₹719 crore from the Northeastern states. Additionally, Sikkim received ₹394 crore and Meghalaya ₹779 crore. This financial boost aims to support various development projects and initiatives in these regions.

In a broader perspective, the Union government has released an additional tax devolution of ₹1,01,603 crore to all states, demonstrating its commitment to fiscal federalism and regional development.
