Get ready to refresh your bathroom with Villeroy & Boch! One year post-acquisition of Ideal Standard, this ceramic powerhouse is more globally competitive than ever. According to CEO Gabi Schupp, "We've leveled up on the international stage, reducing our reliance on single market economies."

Based in Mettlach, Saarland, Villeroy & Boch successfully expanded its MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and core European markets following the March 2024 Ideal Standard buyout.

Thanks to this acquisition, Villeroy & Boch's first-quarter revenue surged by 33.2 percent to a whopping €369.1 million. The operating result before interest and taxes (EBIT) gave a 4.3 percent boost compared to the previous year, reaching €24.1 million. Although the consolidated result dipped by 8.3 percent to €6.6 million, the overall picture is promising.

2024 Forecast Confirmed

The group reported a record turnover in 2024, largely due to acquisitions. The total sales spiked by an impressive 57.6 percent to around €1.42 billion.

Following these impressive opening-quarter results, Villeroy & Boch continues to eye a double-digit increase in sales and a moderate EBIT surge for the entire 2025 fiscal year.

With a humble origin in 1748 and a workforce exceeding 12,000, Villeroy & Boch now spreads its brilliance across approximately 140 countries.
