Yakutian Mining Company Names New Director
Yakutskaya Rudnaya Kompaniya, a mining enterprise under the Mechel Group, has announced the appointment of Oleg Sichev as its new director. He replaces Valery Goryelnikov in the role.
Sichev will continue to implement the sustainable growth strategy of Yakutskaya Rudnaya Kompaniya, aiming to boost mining volumes, develop production capacities, and integrate modern technologies to enhance mining efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
Oleg Korzhov, the General Director of PAO "Mechel", expressed confidence that Sichev, as the head of Yakutskaya Rudnaya Kompaniya, will utilize his knowledge and experience to propel the enterprise to new heights. Korzhov highlighted Sichev's professionalism and strategic vision, which he believes will not only amplify mining volumes but also strengthen the company's position in environmentally responsible natural resource use.
Oleg Sichev graduated from the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold with a degree in Open Mining Works. Prior to his current role, he served as the General Director of LLC "Razrezugol" from 2022 to 2025, and the Head of the Production Department of LLC "Service-Integrator" from 2021 to 2022. From 2011 to 2021, he worked as the Executive (later General) Director of LLC "Razrez Sayano-Partizansky."
The Yakutian Mining Company, based in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), specializes in the extraction and processing of mineral resources. As the General Director, Sichev plays a significant role in guiding the company's business activities, ensuring its growth, and maintaining compliance within the mining industry.
